About Alzheimier's Assocation

The Alzheimer's Association leads the way to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia. Formed in 1980, the Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. As the largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research, the Association is committed to accelerating the global progress toward methods of treatments, preventions and ultimately, a cure. The Alzheimer's Association is currently investing more than $360 million in over 1,000 active best-of-field projects in 53 countries, spanning six continents. The Association is the leading voice for Alzheimer's disease advocacy, ensuring that the need for Alzheimer's care, education and research is heard at every level of government.

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, Walk to End Alzheimer's is the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. The Washington State Chapter is excited to hold an annual Walk to End Alzheimer's in Olympia (the 2024 date is scheduled for Saturday, September 14th @ Heritage Park)
