About Rebuilding Together Thurston County
Rebuilding Together Thurston County (RTTC) was founded in 2003 by local community leaders and OMB's remodeler's council. RTTC provides critical repairs and ADA modifications free of charge to low income homeowners in Thurston County who are: seniors, disabled, military veterans, and families with children in the home. Our dedicated volunteers and contractor partners do everything from building wheelchair ramps to hot water tank replacement and much more.
Our Critical Repair program provides free help with priority repairs that impact safe living conditions. Typical services in this program include: ADA modifications; restoration of heat, running water, and electrical power; stair and handrail repair; plumbing repairs; and smoke detectors. Our Critical Repair program operates year round. Repairs in this program typically cost under $750 and are covered by RTTC.
Our Rebuilding Day program is typically held the first Saturday in May. Utilizing volunteers and contractor partners we provide larger scale services including: painting, roofing, fence repairs, flooring, landscape clean up, window replacement, weatherization, and more. Between five and eight houses are selected for Rebuilding Day each year depending upon our budget, volunteers and contractors available, etc.
Our mission is "Repairing Homes, Revitalizing Communities, Rebuilding Lives"
