Senior Action Network 2022 Outstanding Caregiver Recognition Dinner
Nominate Outstanding Caregivers here.
Senior Action Network will honor Outstanding Caregivers at our
21st Annual Caregiver Recognition Dinner & Auction: Thursday, October 27, 2022
We are unsure of the capacity for our event this year due to Covid and protocols that may be in place. Stay tuned for information on ticket sales, dinner capacity, and updated info via our website.
Here is the link for those that would like to participate. Due to the rise in cases we have had to make multiple changes. This has been a wonderful learning experience and we look forward to taking this and building on it for the future of the Senior Action Network events and programs!
Do you know an Outstanding Caregiver? SAN is now accepting nominations of individuals in Thurston, Mason and Lewis Counties who are shining examples of what it means to be an Outstanding Caregiver. Please take time to nominate someone who has made a difference in your life or in the life of someone you know!
Persons nominated can be in-home paid providers, family or neighborhood volunteers, or employees of a facility such as an Assisted Living, Nursing Home, Adult Family Home, Adult Day Center, etc.
As we age, our body and our mind may fail us, but our desire to have meaning and purpose in each day remains. For some, diminished physical or mental capabilities may make it necessary to have assistance from others. Things that came easy to us in younger years (daily tasks such as bathing, getting dressed, managing medications, grocery shopping, housework, preparing meals, etc.) are now difficult or unsafe to manage on our own. These diminished capacities do not take away our desire to remain strong, independent members of society. We do not want to be discounted or forgotten because of our limitations, instead we want to be honored and respected for our contributions and our unique life history. Every person who finds themselves
at this crossroads deserves caregivers who, not only provide physical support with activities of daily living, but also the emotional support necessary to enjoy a high quality of life. An outstanding caregiver serves from their mind and heart, well beyond a paycheck or sense of duty.
