Capital Homecare Cooperative announced on April 4th 2018 that they are open for business as a home care agency licensed by the State of Washington and available to offer consultations for services as well as accept applications for caregivers.  Capital Homecare Cooperative is a caregiver-owned workers cooperative providing in-home services to seniors and persons with disabilities to the whole of Thurston County.

Home Care Services provided include non-medical procedures such as Showering, Hygiene and Personal Care, Mobility Assistance, Transferring and Positioning, Toileting and Incontinence Care, Medication Reminders, Companionship, Recreational and Community Activities, Planning, Preparing & Serving Nutritious Meals, Shopping, Errands, Transportation, and Household Chores.

Caregiver owned agencies seek to improve the working conditions for caregivers with better pay and a voice in the decision-making of the agency. This translates into quality care for clients.  Capital Homecare Cooperative is the third homecare cooperative to open its doors in the State of Washington, joining its sisters Peninsula Homecare Cooperative (Pt. Townsend, WA) and Circle of Life Homecare Cooperative (Bellingham, WA).
